I am not someone who remembers the "good old days" as if there was one Golden Age of music. I would have loved to see the revolution that was the 1960s but I see great significance in every era of music. I often hear new music which excites my imagination.
My music includes a wide variety of acoustic covers and a number of original songs. I would challenge you to pick my favourite era as you listen to a set but I have to confess that the grunge scene of the early 90s was a bit of an epiphany for me. But from Johnny Cash to Sia, Paul Kelly to Justin Bieber, Hunters and Collectors to the Rubens, Pearl Jam to whatever JJJ Hottest 100 track catches my ear: the eras blend into one good show! Try me!
I have always loved music. I grew up at a time when every street seemed to have a band practising in the garage. I was one of those people who just wanted to be part of the scene and use my vocal chords in expressive ways. I love to sing. Partner this with my growing love for the guitar - "Martine" goes everywhere I go.
